"A World Without Nuclear Weapons: Mission Impossible"
Two leading experts visited Lancaster University to discuss the prospects for global nuclear disarmament. Sir Hugh Beach (former Chief of Army Staff) and Paul Ingram (British American Security Information Council) are key intellectual figures in the Global Zero movement. Spurred on by Obama and Medvedev's recent call for a nuclear weapon free world, they explored the practicalities and politics of this goal. They are also specialists on the current British and Iranian positions. This event was OPEN TO ALL and was part of One World Week. There was a lengthy Q&A session with some very controversial arguments from the audience.
